Exploitation group

Why an Exploitation Group?

URBAN M2O aims to develop flexible solutions tailored to the various water challenges and resource availability in urban areas across Europe. Inputs from end-users (water utilities, municipalities, consultants, etc.) are thus essential for successfully achieving the objectives of URBAN M2O.

Exploitation group

What is the role of the Exploitation Group?

As a member of the Exploitation Group, your role is to:

  • Help the consortium define the monitoring needs (e.g. what to measure, when to measure, how often) based on current and future threats, considering also the future evolution of the water infrastructure.
  • Provide feedback during the project development (e.g. on how information is generated and visualised),
  • Help the consortium to develop flexible Guidance Material for widespread use of holistic and effective management of water quality in urban areas, ensuring the user-friendliness of the project’s outcomes and a broad impact in the water sector.
Join

What are the benefits of being part of the Exploitation Group?

By being actively involved in the Exploitation Group, your organization can:

  • Have early access to the project’s results;
  • Be involved in the project dissemination and communication activities;
  • Deploy and test the monitoring solutions developed during the project in its own system.
Requirements

What are the requirements to participate in the Exploitation Group?

Organizations that are members of the Exploitation Group are expected to:

  • Participate in the stakeholder workshops (expected workload: 6 days over the 4 years of the project)
  • Provide feedback to the Urban M2O Consortium on specific topics that belong to your organization’s specific expertise
  • Critically review the Urban M2O results, with the perspective of utilizing them within your organization

The Members of the Exploitation Group are also expected to embrace the Open Science and FAIR approaches that are at the core of the URBAN M2O project. Co-create results will be publicly available (after anonymisation), while provided inputs and data will be as “open as possible” and “as closed as necessary” in accordance with the FAIR principles . URBAN M2O will fully comply with EU Data Protection requirements as per Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

External Technology Developers

Exploitation group

Who are the External Technology Developers (ETD)?

In Urban M2O we are open to test and benchmark also monitoring technologies that are developed outside the project. The ETD members are companies who are testing their technologies in our Case Studies

Join

Who can be an ETD member?

Any company developing new sensors, which agree to benchmarking their technology according to the Urban M2O protocols and embraces the Open Science principles promoted by Urban M2O
