Highlights from the Stakeholder Workshops held in Dübendorf and Lausanne

The UrbanM2O project recently concluded its final series of in-person stakeholder workshops in Dübendorf and Lausanne. These sessions engaged key representatives from municipal administrations, water utilities, and environmental regulatory bodies to align technical development with operational reality.

Core Objectives
The consultations focused on identifying critical user requirements across three primary dimensions:

  • Monitoring Parameters: Determining essential data points for effective oversight.
  • Spatial and Temporal Resolution: Establishing optimal locations and frequencies for data collection.
  • Data Integration: Developing accessible visualization frameworks to support informed decision-making.

Aligning technological innovation with the practical needs of end-users is fundamental to the project’s success. This approach ensures that the resulting solutions are not only technically advanced but also practically applicable and impactful for sustainable urban water management.
