Join the URBAN M₂O Workshops in Dübendorf and Lausanne
The Horizon Europe project URBAN M₂O is proud to announce two half-day workshops focused on how cities monitor and manage water quality. These sessions will bring together city representatives, public service providers, and regional authorities to collaborate on AI-based solutions for a zero-pollution future.
Current urban water monitoring methods are often hindered by high costs, slow data turnaround, and a lack of granular detail. To bridge this gap, URBAN M₂O is developing innovative “virtual sensors” and digital urban twins. These tools provide real-time, cost-effective data and model how pollutants behave across entire cityscapes, allowing for faster and more effective environmental action.
Collaborative Workshops: Shaping User-Centric Solutions
To ensure these tools meet the practical needs of local governments, URBAN M₂O is hosting two interactive workshops. Participants will share their challenges and experiences, contributing directly to the development of practical guidelines and “user stories” that will define future monitoring and management strategies.
The workshops will be held in two locations to accommodate regional languages and local contexts:
German-Language Workshop (D):
- Date: March 16, 2026
- Location: Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology), Dübendorf (near Zurich)
French-Language Workshop (F):
- Date: March 17, 2026
- Location: Lausanne (Venue TBC)
How to Participate
Participation is free of charge for representatives of public administrations and water services. Space is limited to ensure high-quality discussion and networking. More info about the participation will come soon, stay tuned.
