Urban M2O Showcased at ECOMONDO 2025: Advancing Digital and Integrated Urban Water Management
The EU-funded Urban M2O project was featured at ECOMONDO 2025, organised by the Italian Exhibition Group, highlighting innovative European approaches to sustainable and resilient water management.
During the event, Piave Servizi, partner of the Urban M2O consortium, participated in the panel “European and Mediterranean nature-based, digital and cyber-physical initiatives to innovate water management – Session 1”. Representing the project, Alessia Danese, Carlo Pesce, and Raffaele Marciano shared insights into Urban M2O’s work on digitalisation, integrated water management strategies, and innovative solutions aimed at improving urban water quality.
The session provided an important platform to present Urban M2O’s field experience and applied research to a high-level audience, fostering dialogue with stakeholders, industry experts, and representatives of other EU-funded initiatives. Discussions focused on how digital tools, nature-based solutions, and systemic approaches can support cities in addressing growing water quality and resilience challenges.
Urban M2O’s participation at ECOMONDO 2025 underlined the project’s commitment to knowledge exchange, collaboration, and impact, contributing to Europe’s transition towards smarter, more sustainable urban water systems.
Urban M2O is funded under Horizon Europe and brings together a multidisciplinary consortium working to enhance urban water quality management through advanced monitoring, modelling, and decision-support tools.
